Is there life after being dumped?

Being jilted, dumped or just plain heartbroken is perhaps the worst kind of emotional pain. When Valentine’s Day comes around that can just heighten your awareness of that … giving the emptiness and the loneliness room to take hold …
But wait!
There is a way out.
It boils down to this:
Whatever happened to your relationship, no matter if it was yesterday or years ago, is in the past. The pain, however is in the present … and that’s very good news.
Why?
Because the present moment is under your control!
Finding a different way to revisit the past in your mind can make all the difference.
For example … suppose you slip on a banana skin and you feel stupid. As you pick yourself up and dust yourself down you remark,
“One day I’ll look back on this and laugh.”
Well … why wait?
Your ability to change the way you feel exists right now. When you can laugh about the banana skin incident, you’ll feel better.
When you feel better, you’re free to move on.
Will you ever laugh about your broken heart?
Possibly not. But you could neutralise the pain.
Then you’d be free, wouldn’t you?
