I shouldnāt really tell you this.
Itāll shatter all your illusions about me ā¦
But ⦠when I was in school me and my best mate Rick had a way of dealing with scoldings from stern teachers, or homework assignments we particularly hated.
Weād wait till we were out of sight and then weād do the Monty Python āMinistry Of Silly Walksā walk until we were giggling so hard we thought weād burst.
(Itās very British humour ⦠but itās a classic here now. In case you donāt know what Iām talking about,Ā watch the video below …)
Of course, it changed nothing on the outside.
Weād still had the telling off. The homework still had to be done.
But we FELT better inside – and somehow that made enough of a difference that we could handle the situation.
Fast forward many years ā¦
These days, I know WHY shifting your awareness to something else and changing your state works.
I understand the power of it to do things like increase your productivity, get inspiration and new ideas, and just the joy of being able to stop worrying (which helps no one and solves nothing) AT WILL.
Mercifully, doing the Monty Python walk is not a requirement!
Want me to show you more grown up ways of smashing through limitations?
With thanks to the Pythons!
What are YOUR thoughts? Ā Leave them beneath the video. Ā (After you’ve enjoyed Monty Python of course!)
