Here’s how to do it:

1. Think of a memory with a mild negative charge. It could be something like your boss boring you to sleep in a meeting or your shoelace breaking when you were rushing to work.

2. Bring that memory to mind and notice how you experience it. Do you see pictures in your mind’s eye? Do you hear sounds or voices? Do you feel any physical sensations or emotions?

3. Now, do something to reverse the experience. For example:
