The Key To Good Luck?

Do you play the blame game?

It’s almost a cultural habit, so don’t feel too bad if you do.  Just what is it?

You know what it’s like.  The reason all your dreams, hopes and ambitions haven’t shown up – or have been abandoned entirely – is because you had some bad luck, didn’t you?

It might have been loss, bad health, the government or some accident of birth.  If nothing else fits the bill, maybe it has to do with God’s will.

I can’t tell you that you’re wrong.  Bad things do happen in life.  There are many things that hurt badly and that can throw you off track.

But I don’t believe in luck – good or bad.

All I know for sure is that, no matter how bad things are for you, there are people who have defied greater odds and triumphed.  There is no walk of life where that is not true.  People have overcome age, disease, racism, cultural bias, loss … you don’t need me to go on.

The difference between those who play the blame game and those who triumph is down one thing: state of mind.

How you view things is what makes all the difference.  That is very good news because you can always change your point of view.  It’s called response-ability which is NOT the same as blame!

Blaming will utterly disempower you.  Responding differently will change your life.
